At Voicebooking we like to stay connected. That’s why we (digitally) come together a few times every week to share our experiences. Professional experiences as well as personal ones. We also share what inspires us. Like who listens to which podcasts. In this blog you’ll find an overview of podcasts we discussed in recent months.
The Six Figure Home Studio podcast
Podcast hosts Brian Hood and Chris Graham believe you shouldn’t allow the “business side of things” to stop you from running a successful vocal booth. In their podcast The Six Figure Home Studio they help you discover what really matters in the world of remote recording. A world well known to us.
According to our team, the podcast helps you view and understand the music business (studio recordings) from different angles. It’s even interesting if you enjoy the music industry, but don’t work in it. After a 150 episodes they called it quits, but you can still go through the archives online. Curious? You can listen to The Six Figure Home Studio podcast here.
Aubrey Marcus Podcast
Aubrey Marcus brings on world class guests in his podcast to discuss how to balance mind and body. There was a special mention of episode 240 with guest Peter Crone. Episode 240 is titled ‘How To Free Yourself From Your Fears’ and features Peter Crone demonstrating his work by tackling some of Aubrey’s most deep-seated fears. A most impressive listen.

Twenty Thousand Hertz #100 | Ta-dum! It’s Netflix
At Voicebooking we – not very surprisingly – love audio! So a podcast in which sound is discussed is right up our alley. Our favorite episode is 100. That one is all about the Netflix sound logo. You surely know it: you launch Netflix and you hear ‘Ta-duuuuum’. That’s the Netflix sound logo. In this episode you’ll learn how the most recognized sound logo in the world came to be. Listen here.
The Empire Film Podcast
The Empire Film Podcast is the official podcast of Empire, the world’s most renowned film magazine. Every week you will find both an assortment of irreverent conversations about films as well as interviews with Hollywood’s best and brightest. The Voicebooking team describes it as a podcast in which male and female nerds talk about films, actors, directors and more. An entertaining listen. Find the Empire Film Podcast here.
The Tony Robbins Podcast
Tony Robbins is a Life & Business Strategist and has helped over 50 million people bring lasting change to their lives. In his podcast he shares proven strategies and tactics to help you achieve results in your company, relationships, health and finances. One of the ways he does this is by bringing on expert guests for some deep-dive interviews.
In the episode that most inspired us, Tony Robbins talks to Sara Blakely, founder of SPANX. Sara shares the strategies she has implemented to start her now billion-dollar company. Listen to the podcast here.
AsianBossGirl podcast
The final podcast we want to share with you takes the theme in a whole different direction than the ones above. It doesn’t make it any less inspiring to our team, though. The AsianBossGirl podcast is about the modern Asian woman in a Western society. In each episode, hosts Melody Cheng, Helen Wu and Janet Wang share their experiences als 20/30-something Asian-American women who work, date and live in L.A. You can listen to all episodes of ABG here.
